so......episode 5. Just wow. Mudd was on point!! And the final scene....chills. This was so much like my reaction, lol. I agree regarding the changes that have been brought on by being streaming only, but I didn't feel like it was a forced scene particularly and I'm not even a fan of Tilly. It was actually kind of amusing for me to have Alex look up from what he was doing and ask, "Did she just say fucking?" I thought there was something between the Doctor and Stamets and I could not love them any more than I already do! I love to hate Lorca frankly. Thaqt's a good thing. I didn't care for the feel good scene with Saru and Michael. It was what felt forced to me. And it seems to me they rushed that reconciliation. Saru seems to take on a bit of his Captain's behavior if you ask me. I don't know how I felt about him this episode. That ending though! I felt mind blown at the end of this episode. So happy with it!

Seriously, am I the only one who caught the two dicks/vaginas thing?

nope, but to be fair he could be talking generally, as the number of organs are different in general. Also at this point we don't know much about the enemy. Remember not even Doctor McCoy was all that familiar with Klingon anatomy.

I loved it and how it tied into S4 of Enterprise and ST3 The Search for Spock

I just watched episode 7. I loved it. It felt very "Star Trek". I'm enjoying the character development as well as the plot. I am enjoying the show so much that some of my quibbles about it (small things, like when they were on the holodeck which shouldn't exist yet) aren't getting in the way anymore.

Finally getting around to catching up.
Episode 6:
It's far easier to say you're from Seattle than to have to elaborate on the sprawling network of cities and towns that make up the Seattle Metro area.
Would it have killed them to give the 'logic extremists' a neat cult name or something?
Was that really the time for fraternization?
Lorca's a bad man. A baaaaad man.
Episode 7:
... This is exactly what life on Sara's ship would be like. Weekly mixers in the mess! Only no Bee Gees. Ever. She will space you if you try.
Somebody's never been laid...
Pandas. In. SPAAAACE!
Party loop!
They're gonna have to bang to stop the time loop, aren't they?
I mean, technically it vaporized his brain, which isn't the same as melting.
Humans are silly and adorable when they're not being shitty.
All of our ships now need bitchin' gold hood ornaments.
That was pretty great!

LOL, I loved your recap CJ. I felt like this one made up for how much the last one bored me. Stamets grows on me more every time I see him. And because of this, he worries me. Which means they are doing a great job getting me invested in these characters. I like Tilly a lot better in this episode too. Maybe she will win me over yet, I don't know.
