Mission Orders<IncomingComm> <OrigSFHQ> <Dest70730> <SecLev9> Captain Sumner, As you know, the continued hostilities between the Breen and Tzenkethi is a major point of concern in the Alpha Quadrant. There have been reports of increased activity from Breen pirates operating near Carraya. Per our agreement with the Romulan Republic, Carraya is under the protection of Starfleet. The Chiron will patrol the area as a deterrent to any Breen who threaten the flow of supplies to the planet. With the increased uncertainty in the region, it is vital that we continue to show our support. In addition to your patrol, you are to check in with the Republic authorities and render whatever additional assistance is needed. As you are also aware, an eye will need to be kept in Cardassia's direction. If the Chiron detects any unusual activity in Cardassian space, report to Starfleet Command immediately. Good luck, Vice Admiral Ksar Alpha Outreach Command

Mission Briefing SD 11901.10
All: We're headed to Carraya for some joint patrol/diplomacy action. Suspected Breen privateers have been active in the area, and we're to help serve as a deterrent should any of them decide to hit Carraya's supply lines.
In addition, we are to serve as reminders of Starfleet's dedication to defending the Romulan Republic. As rich as it is for me to say, we should all be on our best behavior when dealing with the locals. Always request, never demand, etc.
XO: After we've established orbit and made some initial contact with Republic authorities, I want you to take stock of the supply situation on the surface. If there's anything Carraya needs that Starfleet can supply, then let's get the ball rolling.
CTO: Coordinate with Carraya to see how best we can complement their patrols. We want to step on as few toes as possible.
CMO: I suspect medical supplies will be among the list of things that Carraya could use. Work with Raqiin on seeing what we can immediately spare, and which requests should go to Starfleet Medical.
CSO: See what we have on countering the Breen's energy-drain weapons. I'm sure you can get something useful from SFI. Maybe.
SCI: Welcome aboard, Ensign. Please report to the Bridge once you're settled.
NAV: Stash us in orbit somewhere out of the way. Be ready to head out once we have a patrol route set up.
I don't know if I missed writing these. That is all.
Captain Sara Sumner

Mission Briefing SD 11902.21
All: Our duty in this situation is two-fold. One, we have to verify whether Tholians are actually responsible for the gravitic anomaly. Two, we have to investigate that distress call. If there is a ship in distress, our job requires that we lend what aid we can. Hopefully, that just means a quick in and out to beam out any survivors and get back to safety.
Hopefully.
XO: Work with Hamlet on coming up with a potential countermeasure for webs. Further, if things go badly, standing orders are to fall back to Carraya and alert Starfleet Command.
CSO: Since it will almost certainly not be that simple, I want you working on a countermeasure for any potential Tholian webs we might encounter, preferably something to stop it forming in the first place.
SCI: Ensign, please keep me apprised of the data from the probe. Specifically, I want to know what ships are in the immediate area, and whether the web is still up.
CMO: Prep sickbay for potential wounded from the distressed ship.
NAV: You know the hazards of the Badlands by now, Lieutenant. If we need to go in, keep us moving, and watch for those plasma filaments.
OPS: Keep trying to raise that ship on comms, and give the Charon an update on our status.
Stay sharp.
Captain Sara Sumner
