Centaur Party on Discord
It's the Chiron's First Annual-ish Sexy Centaur Party, and you're invited!
WHO: All Chiron and Zorya personnel, as well as any other Starfleet or civilian traffic that might be interested!
WHAT: A party/mixer with food, drink, games, music, and general revelry!
WHERE: Starbase 41, at the mess hall on the Promenade!
WHY: SHORE LEAVE, YO!
Details!
Food: The replicators will be online, but there will also be a selection of non-replicated casual foods like burgers, bratwurst, hand-made plomeek soup, fresh gagh, and a wide selection of fruit, vegetable, and plankton dishes! Note: all Earth meats are lab-grown.
Drink: Synthehol in abundance, as well as the Captain's Own Selection of high-quality spirits, and several other types of liquor procured by dubious means. A variety of soft drinks will be available as well, both 'real' and replicated.
Games: We got darts! We got billiards! We got arm-wrestling, bat-spin races, a basketball hoop, poker, and even a dabo wheel!
Music: A varied selection of music is available, but feel free to bring your own beats! There's be a 'jukebox' from which you can access your personal music files! Note: Please remember that his is a party. Also, no Sex Pistols by order of Captain Sumner. Seriously, I will find you and punch you.
General Revelry: We will have a number of amusements and cultural displays, from Lt. Parker and friends' breakdancing to a brief performance of Ensign Epok's 'Klingon Kabuki,' which she assures me will be the greatest thing I have ever seen. Oskar Lundqvist, the Chiron's children's arts teacher, will also be doing sketches of any personnel who want to be painted as a mighty Centaur, in honor of the Chiron's namesake. I highly recommend doing so, if only so I'm not the only one!

(How to join our Discord server)
How to join: We'll be playing on the official STAB Discord server! If you don't have a discord account, you can go here to create one for free. You can access the server in a web browser, or you can download a desktop or mobile app, which I recommend doing. Once that's square away, you can join the server by clicking this link, or in the app by clicking the dotted circle/plus sign, clicking 'join server', and putting discord.gg/gZnRTan in the box.

Please note that getting overly drunk and causing a ruckus may result in being sent to the brig, which may or may not be fun on its own!

I have added a dice roller to the Discord server for the games, for those who don't want to freeform them. The basic command we'll be using is:
!roll d20
Whenever you throw a dart, or take a shot in billiards, or shoot a basketball, use that command. Special Rules for each game are below!
Darts: To hit the board, you need to roll at least a 5. You can either keep track of this manually, or use the command '!roll d20 > 5' which will say whether you succeeded or failed to hit that number. The higher you roll above 5, the closer you get to the bullseye. Characters in Tactical, Engineering, Navigation, or Medical may add a +2 to the roll due to their focus on coordination and detail. The command for that would be '!roll d20+2' OR !roll d20+2 > 5'.
Billiards: I don't want to get too complicated, so I think what we'll do is this: Narrate what your character is trying to do, and then roll. If you roll 10 or higher, you succeed on sinking the ball you want to sink. For each additional ball you try to sink with each play, add 2 to the number you need to beat. So if you're trying to sink 2 balls, you need to beat a 12, 3 needs a 14, and so on. First player to sink 8 wins. If you roll a natural 1, you prematurely sank the 8 ball and automatically lose. As above, Tactical, Engineering, Navigation, or Medical officers can add a +2 bonus for their training.
Bat-spin races: Narrative-only. If you want to roll a die to determine success randomly, feel free to make up your own target number!
Arm Wrestling: A roll-off. Whoever rolls highest wins. Only Tactical officers, Vulcans, Klingons, or other notably strong races may add +2 to their rolls.
Gambling: For everyone who wants in on dabo or poker, PM/whisper me and I'll generate a random number, which will determine the strength of your hand/position. Then you bet with chips. Everyone starts with 1000 in chips in various values. If you lose all your chips, you're out!
